Signals Within the Noise - SWtN
Which idea do you want to travel to?
We love stories—listening, telling, experiencing, any version. That’s why stories are at the center of this show. Each episode is lead by a topic. We do a deep dive through the many twists and turns that are possible when we’re lead by the passion and desire to explore. Think of “Signals Within the Noise” as a travel show that isn’t about a specific place, but more a way to visit our shared human experience.

Stories hold a special place for humanity; much of what we communicate to each other serves the practical purpose to share information of the mundane—where to meet for dinner or what to get from the grocery store. We need milk. A story of the journey to the grocery store, many times can be simple, or turn into a tail of twists, turns and events to recount to others.

To tell the story of the journey for some milk is central to human existence. The skill is so important that we learn the pattern of symbiotic exchange in our infancy. Just as we detect patterns in nature we react to patterns of information. We use stories to remember where we’ve been, with the goal of understanding where we are going. Stories are signals within the noise.

As our beings hone in to the patterns and joy of the stories, we’re transported through places, ideas and knowledge that help define who we are. So let’s kick back, listen and watch to see something we don’t normally see and learn a bit of something we’re glad we now know. That’s what stories do.

Send us the idea you want to see.
